Use the Replace Color adjustment to replace any color in your image with any other.


Replace one color in an image with another

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Choose Format > Color Adjustments > Replace Color (from the Format menu at the top of your screen).
    • In the Tools sidebar, click and choose Replace Color from the Add menu.
  2. In the Tool Options pane, click the left color well to choose a specific color you’d like to replace, or pick a color directly from the image using the color picker. You can also hold down the Option ⌥ key on your keyboard to temporarily switch to the color picker. Alternatively, click to open the Colors window and choose a color there.
  3. In the Tool Options pane, click the right color well to choose a color you’d like to use as the replacement color, or pick a color directly from the image using the color picker. You can also hold down the Option ⌥ key on your keyboard to temporarily switch to the color picker. Alternatively, click to open the Colors window and choose a replacement color there.

  4. Drag the Range slider to adjust how many of the colors similar to your selected color should be replaced.

  5. Drag the Intensity slider to adjust how much the new color should blend with the old color.

Show Original: Click the Show Original button or press the O key on your keyboard to see what the image looks like without any color adjustments.

To reset your changes, click the Replace Color pop-up menu in the Tool Options pane and choose Reset.
