Make an elliptical selection
The Elliptical Selection tool lets you make elliptical or circular selections in your images.
Use the Elliptical Selection tool
- Choose the Elliptical Selection tool by doing one of the following:
- Click
in the
Tools sidebar or choose it from the
grouped tools. - Choose Tools > Select > Elliptical Selection (from the Tools menu at the top of your screen).
- Press the Y key on your keyboard.
- Click
Drag in your image to make the selection.
Tip: To select a perfect circle, press and hold the Shift ⇧ on your keyboard before starting to select.
