With the edit syncing functionality available between Photomator and Pixelmator Pro, you can seamlessly move your edited photos between apps and continue working on them using each one's unique set of tools. This makes it super easy to round-trip between the apps – for example, you can edit a photo, then send it to Pixelmator Pro to add some text, shapes, paint on it, and more.
To share an edited photo to Pixelmator Pro do one of the following:
All nondestructive changes such as crops, color adjustments, masks, and even perspective corrections will open in Pixelmator Pro and be editable using the tools in Pixelmator Pro.
To share an edited photo back to Photomator:
Important: Photomator doesn't support certain types of layers and edits from Pixelmator Pro, including shapes, text, and clipping masks.
If you choose to continue editing the photo in Photomator, you will have to flatten these changes. There are two options:
Flatten and Edit Original. Merges all non-editable layers and edits and overwrites the original image.
Flatten and Duplicate. Creates a copy of the original image with all non-editable layers and edits merged. When opened in Pixelmator Pro, all layers in the original image will remain editable.
