(Bug): Image turns completely black after opening

I love Pixelmator Pro and so I bought Photomator yesterday. Apple Photos was always somehow not good enough for me. I still mourn the loss of Aperture. But Photomator really looks very promising.

However, I have a very strange bug:
I loaded the images directly from the Apple Photos library. I can open some pictures without any problems. Some pictures I can click on, then they are briefly displayed large and then the picture turns completely black.
But this is not the case with all images. All the images compared were created with an iPhone 15 Pro.
Does anyone know what to do?

I think today's update on the Mac has a fix for that very issue. You can try it out
