Hi there! New here and an absolute Design + Pixelmator Newbie, so please be patient with me.
I'm trying to create a background like that: https://www.forhims.com/forhims/image/upload/q_auto,f_auto,fl_lossy,c_limit,b_rgb:a993b9/Hims/Other/medical-experts/updates/Hims-MedicalExperts-Hero-d
How do I do it:
1. Create a layer (single color)
2. Add a grain effect (size: 100%, intensity: 10%)
3. Add a gradient fill effect with two colors.
My problem: The grain effect is too homogeneous and just doesn't look like in the example (see the image attached)...
Am I maybe missing another effect?
Using Pixelmator Pro on a MacOS M1.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best,
David
How to create such a texture?

Hard to verify methinks.
Here´s another approach: 3 stops Gradient plus a grey rectangle overlay with added small amount of noise set to "Soft light" blend mode. You can test some presets from the Color Adjustments like "Classic/Modern films" and work from there perhaps.

Thank you for the answer! I'll try that. Do you by any chance also have an idea how to create that? It seems like the grain is transparent or something alike...
