You search for moderno sans download. Then download the format you like or need. Wofff etc. And import it into font book on Mac. Close and reopen Pixelmator pro. Voila...

ResLes is 100% right — you simply have to download the font you need and add it to your macOS Font Book. Have you had a chance to try that?

Thanks so much..follow up question..when I open a PSD file in Pixelmator I'm unable to edit the text. In this case I had to remove the text, install the appropriate font and recreate the text in Pixelmator. Does this mean PSD files are unable to be edited?

They can be edited — because text in PSD documents can have certain proprietary text formatting that we don't support, we display an image version of the text which is completely accurate and the editable text layer itself is there but hidden by default. In the Layers sidebar, you should see they their layer visibility icon has a line through it. If you click that, the text layer will appear in your image.
Hope that helps!

I downloaded a font from google fonts, which installs as a .zip, but .zip isn't compatible with my font book. How can I convert it to become compatible?
