Repair

Magically remove objects from your images.

Make small imperfections or even entire objects disappear from your images by painting over them with the Repair Tool. No matter how complex the background, the Repair Tool can make almost any object vanish without a trace. As if by magic.

  • Repair Tool Magic

The Pixelmator Pro Repair Tool is powered by an incredibly advanced object removal algorithm that was developed and refined using innovative machine learning techniques. When you remove an object, the Repair Tool intelligently matches the surrounding colors, textures, and even the structure of the image to repair areas with stunning accuracy.

  • Repair Selections

In addition to removing objects using brushstrokes, you can also use the Repair Tool to repair entire selections. Simply make a selection using any one of the selection tools in Pixelmator Pro, then click Repair Selection to repair just that area and nothing else.

Clone

Seamlessly copy parts of a photo from one area to another.

The Clone Tool makes it easy to copy any part of your image. You can clone objects, people, or even textures and blend them seamlessly with the rest of your composition. All by painting with simple brushstrokes.

  • Source Position

The Clone Tool gives you two distinct ways to set the clone source. You can fix the source position so it stays in the same place with each new brushstroke you add. Or align the clone source with your brush and copy one area using as many brushstrokes as you need.

  • Sample All Layers

Turn on Sample All Layers to copy from every visible layer in your image, no matter how many layers you have in your composition. Or leave it off to clone on just one – your currently selected layer.

  • Clone Target

A handy target lets you set the clone source and see exactly where you’ll be cloning at all times. You can also keep the cursor still to see a quick preview of the clone source in your brush.
