In the midst of a complex project, while adjusting an image (using Darken) the application suddenly froze. No response to the cursor. The application has become completely unresponsive. (My track pad has plenty of power and all other applications are working as expected.)
When I closed all other applications and attempted to Shut Down my Mac, the message "Pixelmator Pro interrupted shut down" appeared.
Pixelmator Pro will not shut down, or respond to any other commands.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Pixelmator Pro suddenly froze

After hours of frustration I did finally resolve the problem:
1) Click Apple Logo 2) Select Force Quit option which showed Pixelmator Pro on a list 3) Click Pixelmator Pro and a window asks "Do you want to force "Pixelmator Pro" to quit?" 4) Select Force Quit and a drop down menu facilitates completing the process.
Pixelmator Pro quit. When RELAUNCHED it works fine.
I confess my lesson learned in case it may help someone else.
