In a normal clipping mask. You have an image say "image of Colorado Forest" and you create a text layer below it with the words "Colorado" and you clip it with "Create Clipping Mask" and the image of Colorado forest appearing in the word "Colorado".

But what I wanted is an inverse Clipping Mask where the image of Colorado forest appear outside the word "Colorado". How do I do that?

I don't understand. Why would you need a clipping mask? Plain or fancy "Colorado" text in the layer above the above "Colorado Forest" image. does what you are describing. Perhaps some kind of example would help me understand. Image
