Text - 3D Curvature Effect

Hello!! I have been looking for a way to recreate the text effect in the image below, where the text is multiplied, and as a group, creates a curvature of a ball effect.

I've tried using the "Affine Tile" with a single line, then masking to the shape of a circle, followed by the perspective transform effect. Didn't work. I tried incorporating the "Bump" effect. That also didn't work. I've looked for tutorials all around regarding creating a 3D curvature effect out of text, I've found nothing. I'd *really* appreciate any help with this because I know almost for a fact Pixelmator Pro is capable of producing this kind of effect, but I can't seem to figure out a solution.
