I've installed the Pixelmator Pro Trial (just downloaded on pixelmator.com to try out) and am trying to open an JPEG image file, but it doesn't work, always show this error.
The image is not corrupted or broken, it can be opened using other apps (Preview, Affinity Photo, Photoshop).
FYI: I'm using Macbook Pro with macOS Monterey 12.0.1 installed.

Absolutely weird.

No idea what could be happening here. Pete, is it just this one JPEG you're having trouble with? Perhaps you could share that file with us at support@pixelmator.com? We'll test it out!

There's nothing special about the image file. I've tried out with a few different JPEG files, it doesn't open on this MacBook Pro 13" 2018 (12.0.1 Monterey).
However, I've installed it in another MacBook Pro, it works.
Is there any application that Pixelmator Pro might possibly have conflicts with?

Not that I'm aware of. My only guess is that perhaps the copy of the Pixelmator Pro trial itself got corrupted somehow during download. I'd suggest to try and reinstall a new copy of the trial and see if that helps. In case you need to extend the trial period, drop us a line at support@pixelmator.com and we'll help out!

Can you somehow help me with the issue? Could it be related to this one https://www.pixelmator.com/community/vi ... 16&t=19188 ?
I've just bought on App Store, but image files (JPG, PNG...) can't be opened at all.

Here's what worked for me:
1. Restart Mac and go to "Safe Mode"
2. Open Pixelmator Pro, then open any image
3. Restart Mac normally to return to normal mode
Voila—it works!
