Is there a way to move a layer without moving its mask?

Hello everybody..
In photoshop when I create a layer mask.. I can unlink it from the layer so that I can move the layer without moving the mask..
I can see that in Pixelmator I can move the mask independently from the layer.. is there a way to move the layer itself without moving the mask?.. so that the mask behaves like a clipping mask?

Hey Ahmed. There isn't a way to unlink the layer as such but you can try the following:

1. Create a group for the layer you'll be masking
2. Apply a mask to the group

Now, when you move the layer within that group, it will move independently from the mask.
