Unfortunately Pixelmator (like other photo editing apps) has chosen Right bracket (]) and Left bracket ([) as keyboard shortcuts for brush sizes. Unfortunately, because German users can't type this brackets on their keyboards directly but only by pressing option+8 or option+9 – which than doesn't work as a shortcut anymore.
Any chance to change this somewhere? It's one of the most important shortcuts …
Thanks.
Change keyboard shortcode for brush sizes?

@Andrius Another great update today, thank you. But no progress planned on this issue? Thanks or an update.

This actually slipped through as we didn't have a German keyboard to check — but we do now! Are you able to use the "Ü" and "+" keys for this? They're working for us and, as far as I remember, these shortcuts aren't actually mapped to characters, but to the physical keys themselves.

Thank you so much for getting back! Appreciate your support. I can confirm that Ü AND + increase brush sizes while Ü AND - toggle layer locking but don't decrease brush size.
For your reference have a look at my keyboard (don't mind the coffee spots please …)

Haha, it's all good! Just to clarify, you should press those keys one at a time — "Ü" should decrease the brush size while "+" should increase it, is that not quite what is happening? The "-" key (next to the Shift key at the bottom) should indeed lock layers on a German keyboard as that's where the "/" key is on a QWERTY keyboard.

Lovely, it works!
