The Pixelmator Retouch Extension for Photos lets you use a full set of powerful Pixelmator retouching tools inside the Photos app. Before you use the tools for the first time, you’ll need to enable the Extension. Watch this tutorial to learn how.
Dave, the editing extensions feature was introduced to Photos with OS X El Capitan, so they won’t be available in OS X Yosemite. Of course, if you upgrade to OS X El Capitan, they will then appear in the Extensions preferences menu.

Does this also work with “trial version” on El Capitan? However, I don’t see this extension on my photo edit.

Just downloaded a trial copy of Pixelmator. I am running MacOS 10.12.1. When I try to enable Pixelmator as extension in Photo, Pixelmator does not show up under more in the extensions menu. I have closed and restarted both Photos and Pixelmator and still it doesn’t show up. What do I need to do?
