Pixelmator Photo is designed to give you all the tools you need to make your photos look their best. It includes a collection of desktop-class color adjustments for improving the lighting and colors of a photo, a Repair tool for removing unwanted objects, a Crop tool for adjusting composition and perspective, a set of color adjustment presets designed for a range of photography styles, batch processing workflows, and more.
To start editing a photo, simply open it from your Photos library or any location that you can access using the Files app. To learn more about opening photos, see Open a photo.
Once you’ve opened a photo, you can start editing it right away. Pixelmator Photo is a nondestructive editor, so there’s no particular workflow you need to follow. You can first crop or straighten a photo, remove some unwanted objects, or even apply a preset. By default, none of the changes you make with any tool will be merged and will always remain editable.
Note: If you're looking to save space on your device, it is also possible to switch to destructive editing. To find out more about changing workflows, see Editing workflows.
