Is there a keyboard shortcut for soften? If there is not it would be nice to be able to customize keyboard shortcuts.

You can make/set your own keyboard shortcuts for pixelmator pro in System Settings->Keyboard. For example:
I chose ⌥⌘s
I chose ⌥⌘s
