Hello! I've been looking for an alternative to Lightroom and decided to try Pixelmator Pro. I downloaded all my RAW images from the Lightroom cloud and tried to edit them on my Mac but they look extremely broken as if neither Pixelmator nor macOS itself recognize the camera profile, and most images are extremely overexposed with tons of color noise and a strong pink tint to them. All pictures were taken with my iPhones, some with an 8 Plus and others with an 11 Pro.
What's weird is that no amount of tweaks seem to make them "normal" the way they looked in Lightroom out of the box. The thumbnails in macOS look fine but Preview shows the same "broken" image as Pixelmator. The files look fine when I open them with the built-in Photos app in Windows or when I open them with Lightroom either on Windows or on Mac or iPhone.
UPDATE: Seems that the files in question are specifically merged HDR pictures.
We have some important news to share: the Pixelmator Team plans to join Apple. If you need product support please contact us here.
