Have been trying to duplicate the INK BLEED tutorial. Nothing seems to get threshold working. I have tried rebooting and applying as an EFFECTS LAYER as well as from the EFFECTS panel.

Hi there! To achieve an ink bleed effect, the Blur and Threshold effects must sample both the black and white colors in your project - meaning the effects need to be used on an Effects layer that is ungrouped and above both your text and background in the layer hierarchy.

sorry - i think i'm having the same conversation in two places.
is there really no way to apply stacked effects to groups or even individual layers? seems sub-par.
