Is is possible to have Pixelmator Pro open new documents in a new window rather than a new tab? I have set the System Settings, Desktop & Dock, "Prefer tabs when opening new documents" to "Never", but that has no effect. Other threads in this forum make reference to a preference setting in Pixelmator Pro, however there is no such setting now. I am hoping an undocumented preference setting exists which I can use.

Not a setting a know but you can drag the tab to get a whole new PMPro window (or context-click to choose: see screenshot) and an entry under Window to "Merge All Windows" back again.

Thanks, EllenM, for taking the time to respond. I am aware tabs can be moved to separate windows; I am looking for a way to open new files directly into a new window. One reason is the file's window would have the default configuration, rather than that of the window into which the tab opens.
