I'm using Pixelmator Pro as a painting programme via the EasyCavas app on my iPad pro. In my workspace I leave my toolbar visible but hide my Tool Options and Layers when I'm drawing. I also have the EasyCavas toolbar closed so I'm often using Command Z to undo whereas I would love to be able to tap a toolbar button instead (I have a Gen 1 Apple Pencil with no buttons).
I have to say, Pixelmator Pro on my MacBook Pro (2019 16") and using my iPad Pro (Gen 1) as a graphics tablet are a winning combination! Just fantastic!
This image is how my iPad workspace looks. The pink logo is the minimised EasyCanvas toolbar (which can be moved to somewhere out of the way).
