How to overwrite original image?

I have been saving edited photos in PPD format by using the Command + S command. Is there any way to save it in the original JPEG format without creating a new file by using this command? I am aware of the Export option, but is there any quicker way to save the photo in its original format?

Hi Anne! Sure, if you go to Pixelmator Pro > Settings... > General and disable the "Import JPEG, PNG and TIFF images" checkbox, you'll be able to directly edit files of those formats and save your edits on top of the original files by simply using File > Save (Command + S).
