I thought Pixelmator had an option that at least gave a warning before saving over an existing .PXD file. Maybe it was in Classic?
What I'm trying to do (or avoid) is opening a .PXD file at some point in the future to create a derivative image (like a small png or whatever) without hurting the original. Instead, I am altering the original, exporting what I've created, then finding that the original was auto-saved over the master .pxd file. I know I can lock the file at the finder level, but is there a way to turn on an option inside of Pixelmator to avoid doing this accidentally?
Thanx!
Adam

You can always revert to a former version inside Pixelmator Pro (and other macOS apps).
