If this cannot be done in Pixelmator Pro, it wouldn't be surprising since it seems extremely complex. And requesting this type of thing to be in Pixelmator Pro would be ridiculous of any Pixelmator customer to ask. So scrap that thought.

But is there a way to kind of emulate what is going on here? This would be very useful for skin blemishes, back ground crease or fold removal, etc etc etc.

Hey there Sensored Lens. Frequency separation is definitely possible in Pixelmator Pro - you can see the general workflow in action in this video tutorial on retouching skin.

AH cool! So would this same method work for taking wrinkles or seams out of paper back drops?

He mentions Pixelmator Pro 2 and some parts automated. Do we have an ETA for that, please?

Yeah I just noticed this addition not too long ago. Sad that there isn't a splash screen that shows you what was updated. With a check box to not show the screen again until next update.
