Hey all, I just jumped on the Pixelmator train from illustrator/photoshop.
I was wondering if there was a way to "Expand" a shape like in illustrator?
Here's the use case: I have a square border I'd like to slice in half and leave open. But currently, it closes the path because Pixelmator is seeing it as one path. Even some sort of scissor tool would work here! Would like to keep it vector if possible and not turn to pixels. But I'm a total noob when it comes to pixelmator, so please be nice if the answer is obvious.
I'll link a video explaining what I mean!

Thank you guys!

After the Path Operation go Format->Shape->Merge Shape Components. Make editable and add Point on the right hand side - Select this new point and make right click to "Divide Path" - draw select these 2 points now and hit Backspace to delete.

I miss a lot the "Expand" feature from Illustrator.
It's also useful when working with many single-line paths, and SVG.
