Text Box & Overlay

Hi. Just switched over to Pro from the old version. I have 2.4.5.

When I create text, the text box border and handles, as well as the smart guides, are only visible when Overlay is on. In all the tutorials I've seen, they're always there without the overlay. It seems the same for both new and existing documents.





Any ideas?

Hi Mike, the "Overlay" group can include Guides, the Grid, and the Pixel Grid. You can choose which of these items should be displayed when View > Show Overlay is enabled by going to View > Overlays and checking the items you want to be visible.
