If you happen to rotate a layer, then attempt to distort it in its rotated state, then move onto another layer, most of the time - the 1st distorted/rotated layer becomes corrupted and goes all crazy - losing either rotation or distortion work and creating an exaggerated distortion effect. The work-around appears to be to make your rotation, then cut part of the layer, and paste it right back on - so the layer reconfigures it’s boundaries as an upright rectangle again. That preserves the rotation. Then you can distort. It would be nice if this issue could be fixed…or at least give us a button that saves the rotation (resetting the layer boundaries back to an upright rectangle)

Hey there Ben. Thanks for reporting this. The issue doesn't seem to be reproducing very easily. If possible, could you make a screen recording of your workflow and share it with us at support@pixelmator.com? Our support team will take it from there.
