This happened to me too. I hit the purchase button anyway (happy to support) and then the App Store told me I already owned this and that the download was free.

I own all of your apps. You guys are doing an amazing job. Unfortunately it shows in the iPhone App Store that i have to pay for it again even if i select the purchase button.
I guess I’ll wait a few hours to hopefully refresh the US App Store?

Try actually purchasing the app – there's a weird App Store quirk here, but it should say you have a prior version and let you get it for free.

Major kudos to the Pixelmator team for including the mobile version for existing iPad users instead of adding it as a separate app. This is just one more of many reasons why we love Pixelmator!

Same here. It shows it wants to take $3.99 from my account.
ETA: Took a gamble, figuring I could always contact Apple if it charged me. Completing the purchase told me it was free.
