Text tool not working

Hello; new to the forum so go easy

I am using Version 3.6 Cordillera (61103).

When I add a textbox, I can highlight the word 'Text' but I cannot edit, or type new text at all.

This just started happening out of nowhere.

Nothing I do allows me to type.

Even if I copy a word from a word doc, and try to paste, it doesn't take.

I am using a MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7

Hello, David! This issue has been fixed in later Pixelmator Classic versions. On the Mac App Store, try downloading the latest Pixelmator update (you should be able to do that with Catalina 10.15.7). It should help.
