repeating pattern question

I have a desire to make a circular pattern that is made up of about 50-100 equally s1zed rectangular shapes. Each rectangle would be narrow towards the middle where they would all converge. Each would be much narrower near the center of the pattern. Im wondering if there is a way to do this in Pixelmator 3.9.7 for Mac.

There isn't really a pattern-making feature in Pixelmator Classic — you'd have to arrange the shapes manually but you could probably do something like that quicker in Pixelmator Pro (using the Pattern fill effect).
