Creating clear text through shapes

How might I make the text in the image ‘see through’ so that rather than seeing white, I can see the background?

Hey there! I believe you have the image, the black background, and the text on their own separate layers? If so, the easiest way to make the text see-through would be by merging both the text and the shape layers and applying the Multiply blend mode to the merged layer.
