Turn off scrollbars in Layer HUD

Hidden scroll bars are just normal now, but still there I often catch them when checking the box on the Layer pane to the right, which leaves me disorientated as it scrolls a huge amount.

I have a trackpad an have no need for scrollbars, could it not be a Preferences option to disable the scroll bars on the Layers pane as the checkbox is so close?

I know I could resize the window, but I like to keep the UI tight, and besides I notice the checkbox is adjusted a certain distance from the right side of the pane (trailing edge) so it wouldn't matter even if I could just the window horizontally.
