Hi there,
Is there any way to fill a text box with color in Pixelmator? This is possible in Photoshop, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it in Pixelmator.
Thanks,
Scott

Hey Scott, the text box isn't really a box in the same way that you would find in other apps, however, there is quite an easy way to achieve the same thing – you can add a shape layer in the shape of a box behind the text layer and change its color/reduce its transparency as necessary. For more details on using shapes, you can check out this video tutorial:

After doing this, you can hold down the Shift key and click to select both your layers in the Layers palette, then choose Layer > Group Layers. This will allow you to copy and paste the group in any of your images and move/rearrange them as one unit.
