change canvas size

Am I overlooking something? Is there a way to change canvas size?

Not at this time, but as a workaround, you can increase the size of the canvas using the Crop tool.

I see that you can now change the canvas size, but it seems to force you into certain preset constraints instead of letting you select the region arbitrarily. Am I missing something or is this by design?

I see that I can get what I need by using the crop tool as well, but it's an extra step.

Create a new file with the canvas size you need then go back to the original file and copy and paste the layers Into the new file.
