I have used Affinity Photos Frequency Separation in the past and it is great for more than just skin retouching. I would like to make Pixelmator Pro my primary image editor so I hope a future release will simplify this procedure.

I wrote Applescript automation to do the above skin work via batch utility to save time. Take a look if you need to do this a lot in Pixelmator Pro.
