I was just looking at the new updates for Lightroom Mobile announced recently at Adobe MAX 2024 and one feature I feel would be awesome to have in Photomator Mobile is how Lightroom mobile handles rate and flag while editing a photo.

Instead of jumping to another view while editing to do ratings, you can just tap on the photo to hide all the editing toggles and just see the photo and then if you swipe up on the left side of the image, you can set the stars and if you swipe up or down on the right side of the image, you can flag or reject.

There is also a seperate mode just for rating and flagging that can allow to quickly zip through photos and rate in the same way (swipe up)

I feel this is the best way to quickly rate and flag on iPhone and iPad and a feature Photomator should adopt from Lightroom Mobile.

Thanks for the heads up about Photoscope! It’s nicely done. I didn’t think side by side comparison on a phone would work with such limited screen space, but it’s actually v useful.

Nice update!

I was rather hoping basic metadata editing (title, date, geo-location) was added to for both mac and iOS with this update. That would (for me) be the final stroke to ditch de Apple's photo app completely.

Still hoping for that.

Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Yes, thanks indeed, this looks more like how it should be done. I hope Photomator team can borrow some ideas form them.

If the rating is embedded in the metadata, it absolutely should! If, for some reason, that's not working even though the rating is in the metadata, do let us know using the support link above and we'll see what we can do.
I've tried it and it doesn't seem to add star ratings from images in my (Canon) camera to the appropriate star group in Photos on import.
