Pixelmator pro created a Photomator folder in my iCloud Drive and also seemed to move files to there. I haven't installed Photomator in any devices the iCloud account is connected to.

Its now created two Photomator folders

Did you ever find a solution? This issue has been happening since 2000, and there's been no official resolution. I found some workarounds, but they no longer work.

I agree, there should be some different ways. I, for one, don't want to have things in the iCloud for a variety of reasons. If I could put things directly from my iMac Mini to my iPad I would be a very happy camper!

I've just deleted them. Now they don't show up in iCloud Drive folder. However they still exist in ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents.
