After updating Pixelmator any opened file has effects flattened. How to bring them back? Versions of file don't help either and I really need them for my work.

I don't know if you can get them back unless you can reopen them in an older version of PixPro. You could rename your current version, use TimeMachine to recover PixPro before the update. You could and should have saved the effect. If you can recover and save the effects the newer PixPro should be able to use it too. You might even need to recover the older pxd too.

the effects have been saved. new version just doesn't open them in 'work mode', which is needed due to the nature of the work. thank you for your reply
