Hello. When I start Pixelmator Pro, the colored wheel appears almost immediately, and the application becomes unresponsive. I have to force-quit it with alt-cmd-esc. I've tried reinstalling it, deleting the Pixelmator Pro preferences, doing a hard restart, and using the terminal command rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.pixelmatorteam.pixelmator.x.photos-extension/, but nothing works. It still refuses to start. I use a MacBook Air (mid-2013) with macOS Catalina 10.15.7, 1.7 GHz Dual-Core i7 processor, and 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. What can I do?

I don't remember if there is a "system requirements" page in the Apple store, but I found this:
Built exclusively for Mac
• Pixelmator Pro is a Universal app that is fully optimized for Mac devices with Apple silicon
• Designed exclusively for macOS, Pixelmator Pro supports almost every major macOS feature and integrates seamlessly with macOS Sonoma
• Enjoy support for iCloud Drive, Versions, a full-featured Photos extension, Shortcuts, Light and Dark Modes, Split View, AppleScript, Apple Pencil, and more
You may have to contact the pixelmatorteam for an older version compatible with your OS and hardware.
BTW, ernestellis, It is much better to make the the title more meaningful for posting, maybe something like:
Help, I get a beachball all the time! to briefly describe the problem. "What can I do?" is NOT good enough.
