How to curve and bend an image?

Hello,
I need to curve in image (for example to the shape of an arch, or the wavy shape on an emoji flag ).
This feature in Photoshop is called Transform -> warp. (if I could do it on a layer instead directly on the shape like in this video it would be great https://youtube.com/shorts/NsKMWf07BFE? ... CV2o_WRaSB)

I couldn't find a way for it in Pixelmator.
I could only find how to bend individual vector shapes (Make editable -> create the needed points and multi select them -> make smooth point).

I'm starting to realize there are a lot of things missing in this program. Like how you can't create square strokes around an image; they're always rounded. I was just thinking it'd be great to be able to bend an image as I was trying to lay text on a rounded object. You could open the transform window and similarly to how you can slide the top or bottom without affecting the opposite, you could slide the middle row without moving the top and bottom and it would create a rounded look

Deadriff: Easy to get square corners, maybe with a little shrinkage - but not a one step process. Put a transparent square polygon over/around the image, add aa style inside stroke of the desired width - the corners will be square. You could save that style and use it everywhere you want

Warp a specific area of an image

The Warp tool lets you push and pull a specific area of an image in any direction. You can use Warp to subtly fix certain imperfections or completely distort images, creating a melted or liquified look.

1 Do one of the following:
- Choose Tools > Reshape > Warp (from the Tools menu at the top of your screen).
- In the Tools sidebar, click or choose if from the grouped tools.

2 In the Tool Options pane, customize the Warp tool: 
Brush Size: Drag the Brush Size slider to adjust the size of the Warp tool brush. Press and hold the Option ⌥ key to extend the range of the Brush Size slider beyond 100%. You can also manually enter a value from 0% to 200%.
 
Strength: Drag the Strength slider to adjust the intensity of the warping effect.
 Tip: You can use the [ and ] keys on your keyboard to change the size of the Warp tool brush. 

3 Click and drag an area of your image to warp it.

This is warp brush, it is different from what we need. you can't achieve the result in the YouTube links using a brush, only using a grid deformation tool such as Transform Warp in photoshop:

in Krita terms, we lack "Warp", "Cage", and "Mesh".

Does Pixelmator have plans to add this very soon? It's the one feature that stops me from using it most of the time. I need this A LOT! But have to go to other apps. Otherwise, I much prefer Pixelmator Pro.

Don't hold your breath - would love to see a proper mesh warp considering that *every* other tool I've used had it (Krita, Photopea, Affinity, Photoshop, etc) but this has been on the request board for over a year now.
