I would like to add another feature request: Variants.
When I edit a photograph sometimes I like try completely different paths and be able to compare them, not only that have both a colour & BW variant of the same photo without the huge file sizes of completely seperate edits, so like various sidecar files all to the same image if that makes sense?
Shelton.

I support this request.
In DxO PhotoLab this feature is called "Virtual Copies".
I find it very convenient to have various variants of a single source image, where all edits and settings are stored in a single sidecar file.

Not just virtual copies...many folks, particularly studio photographers, need the ability to compare different captures (not just variants/virtual copies of the same capture) to ensure a series of photos has comparable lighting, color, etc.
Folks have been asking for this in DxO for years to no avail. It's prevented me from using their software professionally as well.
