How to mimic Canvas on Pixelmator Pro - many different designs in one file?

Hi,

within Canvas I like to create different versions of my design, e.g. a music album Cover. Then I can try effects, fonts and replace stuff. And if I like one of them very much (e.g. the place of the final text) I can copy and paste it between the other versions to, let's say: decide which background foto I like most.

How can I mimic this within Pixelmator Pro?

Have you tried duplicating the layers or groups and then making changes on the duplicates? Or do I misunderstand?

Hi Jeff,

this seems to be a nice idea. Is there a shortcut to toggle these groups? Is there a "sub-level" feature, so that I can sort the lines regarding to a version in the layer columns? Or is there a 2-pages-option (like in a word program or so) so that I can compare left and right versions from each other?

Thank you for your hint. I forgot about the other totally.

That's why I sent already a feature suggestion to implement a "show my threads" here in the forum to not loose overview.
