What's the best solution to not end up having 100 copies of all images.

I used to crop photos in the photo app as it's the quickest way, then edit those however since it's not possible to export photos RAW while maintaining the crop, I end up having to open all these RAW photos in the Pixelmator pro app and crop them, I'd also like to have the ability to uncrop or move the cropped image later on which means keeping the original and the cropped version.

Problem 2: after doing edits to the raw image, Pixelmator saves the new file in a different file format and to top it off there's the .aae file.

Is there any smart solution to this?
