Hi Pixelmator Pro Users,
I hope some kind person can assist with this.

I have an image of a brown & white dog taken against a pretty dark varied background.

I saved the image as pxd format, then ran the Background Remover AI tool.
The initial result looks excellent on screen (27" iMac), but if I save it as pxd or Export as jpg or tiff, there is a very bright, somewhat ragged bright white line right around the edge of the subject.

The line also carries over if one prints the image regardless of format.

Can anyone please offer a solution?

Many thanks,
Brook

Hard to tell without any imagery. I took the first dog from Pexels - hit "Remove Background" and got no fringe on the edge - checking with a black background:

Exported to PNG and load in another app - adding again a black background and everything is just fine - honestly it´s "freaking awesome":

Under Format->Image you can find "Decontaminate Colors" which is part of the "Remove Background" AI feature. Maybe run it a second time extra and check if this has any advantage.
JPG doesn´t support alpha channel though makes not so much sense in my opinion.
