How do I smooth/ correct skin in portrait photos

I have a few portrait photos that I need to smooth skin and/ or remove skin "defects" at large.

How can I do that?

Hey there! There isn't really a dedicated tool for this in Pixelmator Pro, but you could try the frequency separation method often used by portrait editors, posted by Teelar in this thread here.

True, the technique provided in the thread is a bit more on the technical side. For simpler edits, the Repair tool and the Retouching tools (such as Soften, for instance) should work great as well.
