Supplanting colour

I would like to recreate the following:



I found an EPS online with all those logos, but as Pixelmator does not accept the format I had to export in PDF and then import that. As the logos are in full colour, when I select them to change to just one colour, the old one remains around the edges.

How do I just supplant the colour please ?

As you see, nothing. This is the old Pixelmator after all.

Anyway, I think for something like this it is easier just to start from scratch.

But it would be nice to know how this could be achieved.

In the end I just made my own. I found flat logos here which I could easily get the outline for and just fill in on a new layer, discarding the original, which worked well enough: https://www.flaticon.com/search?word=so ... &type=icon
