Pixelmator has worked fine for a long time but now crashes my 2011 MacBook when I open it most of the time. MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and Pixelmator 3.8.5

I'm having the exact same problem. It is hanging and crashing a lot, cannot be closed unless forced to stop. Macbook Pro 2013, MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 and Pixelmator 3.9 Classic
