Pixelmator pro was constantly hanging on my iMac (late 2015), even the newest version. When going into CleanMyMac X I also noticed that the PopClip app was also listed as hanging at the same time as Pixelmator Pro. I quit PopClip and Pixelmator now runs beautifully. Obviously some sort of conflict between both apps. This may help someone with the same issue.

Thanks for the heads-up, Paul! That's unusual but it's possible some wires are getting crossed, so we'll look into this.

Same here.
Can't believe someone found the problem.
Pixelmator Pro hangs with Beachball when PopClip is active. Even for the simplest tasks.
Finally able to work again.
Thanks for the tip Paul.

Just make Pixelmator pro one of the excluded apps in popclip and both will work together.

JUST upgraded to Pixelmator Pro (very long time Pixelmator user). First 3 attempt, I got a hanging beach ball. Based on what others are saying, I'm going to disable Popclip in Pixelmator Pro for now. Here's the image in case anyone doesn't know how to do that...

Well, THAT didn't work. Blocked Popclip and Pixelmator Pro is crashing over and over...and over. I tried quitting PopClip...relaunched Pixelmator Pro. Crashed AGAIN. Never had this with the non-pro version and no other apps are crashing. 😕
