Resizing image moves it off canvas

Hi, I need some help here.

When I drop a large image onto my canvas and then go to the resizing controls and make a change say, from 3000 to 250 px, for example, my image disappears off of the canvas and I can't find it.

Is there a way to resize an image and keep it centered on the canvas?

Hi there, this is a known issue — it's actually how things tend to work in image editing apps (for a few technical reasons) and for now, there's a pretty simple way to work around it. With the Arrange tool active, you can click the 'align vertical centers' and 'align horizontal centers' buttons, which will bring that layer to the very center of your canvas. You can also manually change the position of the layer by entering, for example, 0 and 0 in the X and Y fields.
