What features would you like to see in Pixelmator Photo?

Hi, it would be great if you find a way to use LUTs within Pixelmator Photo.
The build in presets are good, but they don‘t match the filters/presets I use with my photos extension within Apple Photos for Mac.
It would be great to be able to work on the files on my Mac and iPad, and get the same results.

This is on our roadmap and will be added eventually, probably not in the next few updates, but a little after that.

Oh yes, where is the LUTs support!!! This would be a reason to change from fully from other applications.

Still on the roadmap — some development progress has been made, but it's not lined up for the next few updates just yet.

I'm afraid I have nothing new to share about this feature — we're still working on some other foundational changes, which need to be completed before we can finish up this feature. But we haven't forgotten about it!

Any updates on LUT support?

I would also love to put my vote in for LUT import and export function as well please

I’m definitely voting for this feature. Also a small suggestion, is there a way we can convert presets into LUTs?

LUTs support is in development, both export and import. So for now, there's isn't a way to convert presets into LUTs or vice versa, but it will be possible in the future.

So looking forward to this. Being able to color correct a frame of video, or make a look, and then take it back to editorial as a LUT would be fantastic. Really what I'm waiting for. Please, please, please.

We're getting closer to this – the feature is already in development for Pixelmator Pro (for the next major update) and will later make it to Pixelmator Photo.

Nothing to report as of now, but it will be added to Pixelmator Photo eventually.

This “eventually” sounds a bit vague….. I respect all the work and dedication that you put in to the development of your apps, and I know that Pixelmator Pro is your biggest app, and the center of your focus, but please try to keep us iPad users somewhat updated… should we expect this feature in a month maybe in a year? The new iPad Pro has the same M1 chip and ram as the Arm macs and yet the capabilities of the iPad Os apps are rather limited. (I understand that there is different architecture for Mac and iPadOS despite the same hardware)

Pixelmator photo is the most fun and intuitive app to edit raw images, and I personally can’t wait to speed up my workflow with LUTs.

We don't really have a date set internally, so any updates would be based on speculations at this point (which we typically tend to avoid), but from how the developments are going, this year is a fairly safe guess.
