Objects pasted from different images will almost always be different in terms of their color and lighting. In Pixelmator Pro, you can use ML Match Colors — which is powered by a machine learning algorithm trained on millions of pro photos — to automatically adjust the colors of pasted objects and make them blend in better with their new surroundings. Simply choose Paste and ML Match Colors from the Edit menu.

Hey Stéphane. Awesome to hear you're enjoying the tutorial! ML stands for machine learning. It's essentially a process of training the computer to find certain patterns in large amounts of data and make decisions based on these findings. In the case of ML Match Colors, a specially trained ML algorithm identifies colors and lighting in one image and chooses which of the Pixelmator Pro color adjustments to apply to achieve a similar look in the other image.
